New vaccine Book

I have pretty much read every vaccine book out there. I didn't think I needed another one, but when Amazon suggested a new vaccine book, I decided to check it out... OMG...I think it's the best book, on the subject, to date.

It's called Vaccine Safety Manual for concerned families and health practioners by Neil Z. Miller...it's the second edition. It is fantastic, period. Everything statement is referenced...it's simple to read, and is packed solid with incredible info. The forward is written by Dr. Russell Blaylock (board certified neurosurgeon).

I highly, highly recommend it.

I read it last year and loved it.

Thank you! Logging onto amazon right now!

You know, I have been thinking about asking here --

I have NEVER read a vaccine book. I wanted to ask what would be the BEST one to read? I need one written by someone who is really trustworthy.

Can you tell me if this book talks about asthma and vaccines?

I am here daily, checking, because I do not know WHAT to do about my ds with asthma. I am scared to vaccinate with this brand new vaccine, and I am scared not to after reading stories from people who've been through it, how really really bad the respiratory symptoms are.

Thanks for the recommendation. I love reading what I can about vaccine safety and efficacy. Dr. Sears helped me make some good decisions. That said, Dr. Blaylock isn't that well-respected in the scientific community, but I'm willing to read what he has to say before passing judgment.

So, I bought the book on Amazon. I will officially be the owner of "A Vaccine Book" now. Thanks for the recommendation!

And, a serious question: How is it that a neurosurgeon is "not that well respected in the scientific community"? Do you have some good links to information about him? I am just thinking, if a neurosurgeon isn't respected, well... You'd think he wouldn't have much of a career anymore!

Edited to say: I just looked up neurosurgery to make sure I was understanding this correctly. Yep, surgery of the BRAIN AND SPINAL CORD. Wow, I would never want someone who wasn't respected to be doing that kind of surgery on me! And I guess that's my point.

What I just read said that neurosurgery has the longest training period of all medical specialties. You're talking A LOT of education. I am really, truly interested in why he is not that well respected in the scientific community?

Most mainstream doctors that speak out about the negative effects of vaccines are not well respected in the mainstream medical community. I actually think the MORE they are rejected by the mainstream community, the BETTER the authority they are. Mainsteam alloptahic medicine doesn't bother to go after "small fish" when it comes to this kind of thing. The more threatened they are, the more maliciously they will go after the doc or researcher that is speaking out. Look at what the FDA is doing to Dr. Andrew Weil right now....

Dr. Blaylock is very intelligent and thorough and I think he has the right idea about vaccines, so I put a lot of credibility into his research. Someone in the MDC "I'm Not Vaccinating" forum shared this article written by Dr. Blaylock http://web.mac.com/rblaylock/Russell...Disorders.html and it shows the kind of knowledge and understanding that he possesses.

Ha, look at Dr. Linus Pauling, one of the greatest scientists and a two time Nobel prize laureate. Very well respected - until - he suggested something so bizarre, the whole medical community called him a kook. What did he suggest? Vitamin C.

Now are you starting to get the picture of how these guys are kept in line?

I have always felt that if someone is suddenly considered a nut by mainstream, I want to hear what the nut is saying.

And his partner, Dr. Matthias Rath has totally abandoned allopathic medicine.

Good point. When natural cures such as taking vitamin C are revealed, the Allopathic medical community cannot profit from them because these types of cures aren't patentable, and these natural cures also threaten pharmaceutical profits. So of course they will try to trash Dr. Blaylock. His information for promoting health is a threat to their business.

I vote for Aviva Jill Romm s book -VACCINATIONS A THOUGHTFUL PARENTS GUIDE
It is great -easy to read and understand -she was just an herbalist and midwife --NOW an MD I understand !

jenelle - I have that book too...I have them all...it's a problem, lol... I still think this is a GREAT addition to anyone's collection. He does discuss asthma. There is so much information, and every statement he makes it backed up ...you can seriously read one line of fact, and he backs it up from what study/source it came from.

He discusses the whole Andrew Wakefield topic, Simpsonwood...it's just extremely comprehensive.

Make sure it's the 2nd edition -the most updated...has a very thorough chapter on HPV as well.

It really far exceeded my expectations...it makes Dr Sears book look like chicken scratch IMO...

Yes, I did order the 2nd edition, and it just arrived a little bit ago!

I admit that my kids are fully vaxed -- even a couple flu shots in previous years for ds who has asthma.

So, is it normal for me to be excited about this book and at the same time feel kind of sick about it? Nervous.

I really didn't get so interested in the topic until this year. I feel like by opening that book, I am about to step into a whole new world. It's like the saying -- "ignorance is bliss". But I do not want to be ignorant on this subject.
