Does 'cert' angus beef mean anything?

Like, in the scheme of things, if your buying beef from the grocery store, are you better off paying the extra for certified angus beef vs run of the mill beef? Or does it not really matter? We just watched Food Inc last night, and I for one was extremely disturbed... but of course I needed ground beef for meatballs for tommorrow and ended up buying 1.5 pounds of ground beef today at the store (but they grind it there at least instead of it coming pre-ground from a million different cows uke)... and I'm just wondering if the fact that its cert angus beef actually means anything?

The Wikipedia article on Angus Cattle lists what "certified Angus beef" is supposed to mean.

It reflects higher-quality beef--but not a different feeding practice or more humane method of production.
