I am new to this community, but have lurked from time to time. I am a SAHM nursing my just turned one year old. I plan to nurse for as long as possible. Any tips on not accidently encouraging weaning? Also, we have our well baby visit coming up and I am a bit afraid the Dr. will say she doesn't eat enough solids. I let her eat what she wants, but I try not to over offer to prevent weaning.

Hi there, I'm no expert or anything but as far as I can tell there is very little chance of "accidental" weaning.

Generally your baby will probably soon (if not now!) give you a sign, word or look that lets you know they are ready to nurse and if you comply, then they will nurse.

My 18 month old daughter currently nurses 10ish times a day/night still and I NEVER ask her if she wants to.
