Getting fabric dye out of... fabric

Help! My middle DS went to bed last night in his "authentic" Chinese outfit (we bought it at a local Chinese shop, but I have no idea how truly authentic that makes it!). It's a deep red with gold brocade. And, apparently, he forgot to go potty before he went to bed, so he wet the bed. He's 5, so he doesn't wear training pants or anything as it's pretty unusual. But, suffice it to say, it was quite a mess.

The red from the outfit is on EVERYTHING. Him, his underwear, sheets, his extra-special blanket, etc. Obviously the color came out of the outfit once, but how can I make sure it comes out of these other fabrics?

Primarily, I'm concerned about the blanket. It's a small quilt that I believe is 100% cotton (not sure about the fill; nor do I care about its color!).

Of course, I also need to wash the outfit now.. Separately, for sure!

Any ideas?

You can get something called a dye magnet/catcher and wash the stuff in cold water with one and soap as usual. It should all come out.

: It's usually in the laundry isle with the RIT dyes.

And if you soak that pretty red fabric in vinegar and salt (1 cup vin, 1/2 cup salt, enough water to cover) overnight then rinse, rinse, rinse; soak overnight in vinegar again then rinse, it should set the dye and it won't bleed again!

DD has the same outfit
