What mopping system do you use and love?

Is it just bucket water and a cloth? Or something gadgety like swiffer spray and clean thingie? Or something in between?

I'm looking for something to clean stone...something that's relatively easy to manouveur and that I'll be motivated to use more than once a month!

Libman Wonder Mop. The string-like-head one. No bucket. I rinse the mop under hot running water and wring it out. I spray or drip cleaner directly onto the section of floor I am doing as I mop.

Currently, all of our main living space is tiled. When we move, it'll be hard wood.

I use a Swiffer Wet Jet with a washable microfiber cloth (I just folded a dollar store microfiber cloth and sewed some velcro onto it). I hate the smell of the Swiffer solution, so I just fill the bottle with vinegar and water. DH hates the vinegar smell, but it goes away as soon as the floor dries.

We have hard wood but I just used the shark steam mop and LOVED it!!! I feel like the steam really gets the floors clean.

hmm..i'm checking out the shark right now.

and bezark, i LOVE vinegar for almost all cleaning. the smell bothered me too when i started but now i can't imagine w/o it. it's almost like an all-surface windex!

I have a Vileda spray mop. It's a lot like a Swiffer but the little tank for the cleaning solution is refillable rather than needing to buy a bottle of cleaner that fits your mop. I can fill it with vinegar and water or whatever cleaning solution I want. I also crochet a bunch of these to use with it instead of the disposable pads.

It works great!

Agreed! The only surface I don't like it for is lanolium. We have it in our half bath and it doesn't work well on it for some reason! But, I do love the carpet attachment, makes them softer as well!

Swiffer with vinegar spray

I put a wash cloth on my swiffer and get my trusty spray bottle of vinegar. Away I go!!

I swear I have tried them all!

When I have a really messy job (or when I got lazy and didn't mop for 4 months!) I use a rubbermaid commercial rolling bucket with the built in squeezy thingy, and a rubbermaid commerical mop- the one like janitors use.

For weekly mopping, I mist the floor with a spray bottle of water/vinegar, then mop it with a swiffer with a rag on it, and put a new rag on for every room. I can do my 1000 sq. ft main floor in about 10 minutes with this method, and quickness is critical- it increases the odds that I will actually mop!
