is my 15 month old ready to night wean?

for the last week, it's been horrendous at night

she will nurse for a minute, pop off, roll over (i think she's asleep), then wake up crying. i cannot do anything with her! she crawls all over me, doesn't want to nurse, i just don't know what to do?!?

i am so tired, my dh has been taking her downstairs for awhile, but we need to figure out what to do.

do you think she's ready to night wean? or is it just another stinking phase? she is really the only little one we know of that is still up every hour thru the night.

any help is greatly appreciated!!

is she teething? my DS is 18 months and has had some horrible sleep phases since 12 months due to teething (he has gotten 4 molars and 2 k-9s in the past 4-5 months) just when i thought i was going to have to night wean, he would stop for a few nights..

i've had a few goals for him to reach before we night wean .first and most importantly i wanted him to be able to understand 'milk goes nite nite', which he can now at 18 months i think .. i wanted him to have slept through the night on his own once or twice.. whihc he has now (1st time at 17months and he has done it 2 or 3 times total 8:30-6am) so, i don't think he would have been ready before now, and i am holding off for now because he is back to only nursing every 3-4 hours at night .. i'd really like for him to get the last 2 k-9s too so we won't have so much back tracking from teething.. with my DD we night weaned at 18.5 months and it went really well - she had all her teeth except 2 yr molars, could understand/talk about things/people going to sleep, and i was pregnant and had no milk anyway.. 2 or 3 nights of her being mad at me and she was sleeping all night without nursing
