vbac support

Thread Starter
hi, this is my first time on here and i'm looking for advice about my upcomming vbac. i found a group of midwives that i thought were vbac supportive, now i'm not so sure. has anyone had a successful vbac in rhode island or do they know of a midwife that has been successful with many vbacs? i don't really have much trust with the way things are done in a hospital because i believe that i wouldn't have needed a c/s with my daughter if the obs hadn't insisted on giving me an endless amount of pitocin until my daughter went into fetal distress

You are right to suspect. "Pit to Distress" is a common, and horrific, practice.
My best advice to you is to talk with ladies here who have BTDT, and also check out International Cesarean Awareness Network. Use that as a search term and you will get the website, and from there can find your local chapter plus talk with the women and men of ICAN, who can put information at your fingertips it might take you months of hard work to dig up otherwise.
I had an HBAC after CNMs and a hospital resulted in a failed induction, epi, and crash cesarean before, and the HBAC was the best decision I ever made in my life.
