Getting EO's out of clothing

I couldn't figure out why my house smelled like cedarwood and peppermint oil...until I saw this odd blotch on DS1's sweatshirt. Apparently he found/opened a container of some mixed oils - I had put it in some olive oil for a carrier.

Anyway, I haven't had much luck lately with removing oily/greasy stains from other pieces of clothing so I'm looking for some advice!
What can I treat this shirt with to make sure the oils are removed??

I read on here that dish detergent can help remove body oils from things. Perhaps it would work as a pre-treatment?

I got lavender oil on a white bedspread too. Don't know if it will ever come oout.

Dawn. Real Dawn. The blue kind. It eats oil. I keep a bottle around just for such instances.

For any oil stain I first treat with baby powder. It needs to sit on the stain for about 24 hours. Then I brush off the excess powder and sometimes retreat. Then I rub Dawn into the stain with a few drops of water and let that sit for severl hours. Last, throw the article into the wash (without rinsing off the Dawn) and launder as usual.

Definitely dish soap. Might take a few washes.

Shampoo can also work sometimes in getting oil out of clothing.

I usually use Sunlight dish soap because in the past it has worked so well, but lately it just hasn't been doing the trick...and my preggo nose couldn't stand the scent. So now I have Palmolive and I put that on the stains and they actually came out! Thanks, I had pretty much given up on dishsoap for oils!
