Need reassurance that I'm not permanently damaging baby's gut

I've posted on here before about my 3 mo old allergic to everything FTT baby. He hasn't gained anything in the last week (or lost) & he's now off the growth chart completely. For background, I'm only eating lamb, have tried chiropractor, had latch & supply checked, tried NAET, tried homeopathy. I'm going to either give him liver formula (Weston A Price), homemade goat milk formula, or neocate depending on which one tests strongest in muscle testing.

My heart is breaking because I feel like supplementing him is setting him for a lifetime of immune issues. I know that keeping a virgin gut as long as possible benefits baby allergy wise, but he does have to grow. We supplemented regular organic cow milk formula with baby 1 & he has severe asthma (started w/eczema). I'm really terrified of causing this baby to have asthma. Baby #2 is totally healthy (w/celiac) but never had any supplement.

Can anyone reassure me that we can fix the damage that will be done by giving nonbreastmilk to such a young baby? Any suggestions to mitigate the damage done as he is being supplemented? He's already on probiotics.

I'm so sorry mama. These are such tough decisions to make! If it helps to know, I supped regular old cow's milk formula for my ds when I was having milk supply/breastfeeding issues (from newborn to 3 months). He does have sensitivities to gluten, dairy, corn and soy, but we are working on gut healing and he is very healthy and has been able to eat eggs (after not tolerating them for a year). His gut issues are not derived solely or even majorly from his formula intake (imo--I think it's a blend of lots of things--generations worth --but he and I are healing every day and are truly feeling wonderful now! ).

I'm sorry I don't know a lot on this specific topic, but I just wanted to post some support. This stuff can be so terribly difficult, esp. emotionally.

Here is a thread on healing the gut that may have some more helpful advice: Healing the gut cheat sheet It's got tons of awesome links on gut healing...

Good luck with everything!
