Snapping Prefolds

I just came across Babypants Creations and their snapping prefolds. I hadn't even thought about using snaps to secure a prefold!

I'm wondering though if the limited snap adjustments make it annoying to use. Has anyone tried snapping prefolds?

These only have one setting or two if you ask I think, but that doesn't really give a good range of sizes does it? Or does that actually work out fine? I know prefolds are sized so a huge range probably isn't needed but it just seems limiting.

Anyway, I'm totally curious now!

I think they work fine as long as you aren't wanted to fold down and snap a toddler prefold onto a teeny baby. You need to use the proper sized prefold to start out with. I added snaps to my own when ds was little....but I did 3 rows of snaps on the front to make them more adjsutable when we were in the premium size.

Well...I'm making a lot of my own prefolds and I was also going to grab a dozen or so GMD prefolds for backup, so they'll be sized appropriately. The only time I could see me wanting to fold down would be if the newborn ran out of diapers and I had to use her brothers as an emergency. I doubt that'll happen though.

3 sets of snaps seems better. I do remember when I used my Fuzzi Bunz with my 2nd, they always seemed to stay on the same snap adjustment or two, for a veryyyyy long time. She'd outgrow the rise and only use a couple of snap sizes, so I guess it makes sense-especially if you're putting them on for your own babe so they fit just right. I know babies come in tons of shapes, lol.

That's because of elastic. They go through snap settings faster on prefolds because they don't stretch.

Actually most of my prefolds will be rather stretchy since I'm using bamboo velour. I see what you mean though...if I add snaps to the GMD's I'll probably need quite a few more. Maybe I'll just leave those pinnable.

I had some Blue Penguin prefolds that I liked in theory, but they kept falling off when we used them coverless (which was the whole point).
