Homeschooling--ideal or second best? - Page 3

To me the ideal would be a part-time school, on a drop-off basis so I could have a bit of free time, that was non-compulsory, that our kids loved, and where we could sign them up for only what we choose, with no obligations and no government involvement, and do the rest at home. I do not find 100% homeschooling to be ideal, because I could really use a break and I think they would enjoy some of their education being out of the home. But I do think it is ideal to have the decisions about what their education will include coming from DH and I, and not any school system.

Ideal, I also would not send them even if the perfect school sat next door.
