After watching that YouTube clip where Snuffy is revealed, I wonder if the story line changed a bit over time. I was watching mostly in the mid 70's, and I never remember it being a big deal for Big Bird that others couldn't/didn't see Snuffy. He was just around and someone Big Bird hung out with, but I don't recall wishing others would finally see him or lots of near misses or Big Bird being teased.

I could totally be remembering it wrong to! It has been um *quite* a while since I watched any episodes.

Oh no, I wasn't trying to implying that . I think that clip made it seem that way too like there had been a lot of antics to lead up to them finally seeing him.

oh, i know. i'm just sort of smiling about how sure we are sometimes of the things we remember as little kids but when we relook at them our memories don't quite hold up the way we think they will!

to figure out how old you are,

Do you remember Mr Hooper really alive?

Do you remember people just missing Snuffy?

Do you remember Buffy, David, or Roosevelt Franklin?

These are all from the early part of Sesame St when it first came out. I remember all this but then again, I am also approaching 40 quicker.

I loved Mr. Hooper. When I was going through YouTube clips the other day, I came across the one where they told Big Bird he died. I got all misty-eyed.

BTW, abimommy, you owe me 53 bucks because after seeing this thread, I felt compelled to buy the old school DVDs, and it's all your fault .
