So I noticed I had about 14 to 15 students out yesterday and I began thinking, "Hm, what has everyone out this week." I went to class and began to feel dizzy and flushed. Last night I struggled to sleep through the shakes and hypersensitivity...
I went to the clinic this morning and I tested positive for Type A flu. She said it'll take a few days to find out if it's H1N1, but since thye've had a report of 30 cases out of my high school (um, how come the teachers aren't aware of that....), she's betting it is. Since I can't go back to school for a week, it looks like I'll have time to enjoy the forums without guilt and get some grading done. She talked to my OB and decided that with my bronchitis, it was worth the risk to take tamiflu since they're concerned about pneumonia for me (I have a history of bronchitis and pneumonia). I feel better, but now poor hubby is sick with it. (And with all his moaning and whining, I know why women have babies instead of men!)
Guess this takes the question out of getting the vaccine for me! Last night I wished I had, but today I'm kind of glad to tough through it instead...
