I recently opened an Etsy shop and I'm working on gnomes and fairies to felt. I'm planning on making some with various skin colors once I either find or dye something that will work. I attemped to dye some light brown today but ended up with a very pretty reddish green color. But I will try to get some brown roving next time I get to the wool store.
