? for makers of homemade deodorant

I have a recipe that I want to try. It is supposed to be soft at room temp and harder if left in the frig. Can I re-use a push-up tube from commercial deodorant? Would I just stuff the homemade recipe in there? Then I could stick it in the frig and use it like conventional deodorant? Would this work?

I make my own with coconut oil and cornstarch and stuff it into an old tube. It is pretty solid, but you still have to have a light touch.

Thanks, Maggie! That's exactly what I needed to know! Can't wait to try this!
