The maternity clothes didn't feel right after DS was born. I had to rush out to a discount clothing store and pick up three pairs of stretchy sweatpants. That was WAY more comfortable than any of my maternity clothes.

Oy... the LAST thing I wanted to do after having my son was put my maternity clothing back on. I was SO sick of that stuff by the time I had him!

Unfortunately, I'm not one of those lucky ladies whose bodies snap back right away. I'm about 6.5 weeks pp now and my pre-pregnancy "fat" pants don't fit comfortably again yet. (I've lost 35 of the 55lbs I gained, but still have a ways to go!)

As I have no idea how much longer it'll be until I lose the rest of the weight and as I suspect my hips are bigger now anyway, I went ahead and bought a pair of jeans in one size larger. Soon I think I might be able to wear my former fat pants as my normal pants and keep these ones as my new fat pants.

What really, really took me by surprise was shirts. Especially in the first two weeks pp, NONE of my non-maternity shirts fit. My breasts have really expanded ridiculously and all of my pre-maternity shirts seem really short now. They fit a bit better at 6.5 weeks but most of them are still just a no go. :/ I don't have any idea when they'll start fitting again but if you can stand the thought of wearing some of your maternity shirts post-pregnancy, I'd hang on to those a while longer...

Personally, I really, really couldn't handle wearing them any more so I basically stole a bunch of my husband's huge t-shirts for a few weeks.

I would rather walk around naked in the winter in Wisconsin than wear my maternity clothes for a single second after the baby has arrived

Not only am I absolutely 100% sick of them, but I don't want to look pregnant any more either. I start out with couple days in sweatpants/track suits, then move on to larger sized pants and loose shirts and slowly work my way down to my regular stuff. If I have to wear ANY maternity stuff it would be a couple of the adjustable waist maternity pants that look like regular khakis. But definitely not for a whole 9 months!! A couple weeks at best...
