I just wanted to share this with you all. For those of you that LOVE fresh citrus, the Orange Shop in Florida is now offering a subscription program. Last year through the CCR coop I run we were getting 1/2 bushels for $32 with no shipping or tax (as a result of correspondence with Peter - the owner - AMAZING guy!). They are now offering a monthly citrus program for $29.95 per month for a 1/2 bushel! I can't even begin to express how good this fruit is. I originally found the Orange Shop on LocalHarvest.com. They are family owned and run with WONDERFUL agricultural practices. They pick and ship within just a couple days and we have it here in MD within 5 days usually (this was for large coop orders). Their customer service is awesome. If you have a piece of bad fruit you just need to let them know and often times they will send 1/4 bushel to replace the piece that was bad. The citrus will still be loaded with vitamins and minerals because it hasn't been sitting on a store shelf degrading or sitting in a huge shipping truck or at a facility while it's "in transition" before you get it.
