soaked pancake/waffle recipe?

I have a great waffle recipe that I love to make, but of course it doesn't involve soaking the flour (it calls for wheat germ and whole wheat pastry flour). Does anyone have a good recipe for soaked pancakes/waffles? Also, if I wanted to soak my recipe, should I just add the buttermilk to it and let it sit - how long do I have to let it soak? Thanks!

I've used Sue Gregg's Blender Batter method - once you get the basics of it you can adapt it to other recipes.

I do the same type of thing, it makes THE best, lightest waffles. I use whole spelt berries, along with brown rice, barley, oat groats, millet, and a little corn for sweet crunch.

sourdough waffles/pancakes, or any yeasted variety are my favorite as well.

Ditto to the Su Gregg's blender pancakes...we use half whole wheat, half oat groats; they are sooo good!

My mom and I want to try this for pancakes. She soaked the oats last night, should we just go ahead and blend tomorrow to make the batter, or soak again with the planned addition of ww flour? Say she hadn't soaked at all, would she soak flour + oats plus the other items in the recipe?

We use the recipe in Nourishing Traditions - we make the pancakes a few times a week - I use spelt flour and soak overnight in yogurt. It's 1c flour, 1c yogurt soaked overnight then in morning, add one egg, 1/2t baking soda and 1/4t sea salt
