i'd like to have something visually engaging during birth, kinda like what you see on the mediation channel on cable. something with relaxing nature visuals set to music.

I've been dowloading a few songs to my MP3 player and listening to them at night so that they can help me relax now. One of my favorites so far has been Earth Drum by David and Steve Gordan. You can listen to it on youtube.com and the MP3 version is .99 on Amazon. I've basically been puting a list of songs that I like together and putting them on my MP3 player. I have some fast songs and some slow/relaxing ones. Here is my list:

Black Eyed Peas Let’s get it started
Jason Derulo Whatcha say
Green Day 21 guns
Green Day Holiday
Miley Cyrus Party In The USA
Kanye West Stronger
U2 Beautiful Day
No doubt Hey Baby
Israel Kamakawiwo'ole Somewhere over the rainbow

John Mayer Gravity
John Mayer Daughters
Placebo Running Up That Hill
Erykah Badu Didn’t Cha Know
Erykah Badu Orange Moon
Erykah Badu Yeyo
Norah Jones Don’t Know why
The Best Relaxing Sounds Ever vol 1 - The Ocean
Dixie Chicks Lullabye
Lee Ann Womack I Hope You Dance
Maxwell Woman’s Work
Maxwell Pretty Wings
The Beatles Blackbird
Martina Mcbride In My Daughter's Eyes
David and Steve Gordan Earth Drum
A cd my Bradley teacher gave us to relax to.

I've only used audio (Hypnobabies), but a years ago I had a friend use this video hypnosis program:

Seems like it might be what you're looking for.

I use David Arkenstone music. It is new age, and if you are familiar with the music before you go in, you can visualize what each piece is about.

I listened to his Dream CD with DS1 and even the nurses at the hospital liked it. Its title is Quest of the Dream Warrior.

Here is a link, along with samples of the music of this CD.

If you go to the main page it states "soundtracks for your imagination".

I think I have a Hypnobirth kit upstairs that I haven't even looked at, I should really get around to that soon.

I've used Healthy Pregnancy & Successful Childbirth. I listened to it every night while falling asleep, and while in the tub, for DD #1 and this time around I need to start listening ASAP! There are two different CDs in it, one for months 1-8 and another one for just before birth. I really found them helpful, though initially wasn't totally sure how much they would help. In fact, when I hit the "ring of fire" while pushing DD out, a few of the visualizations that I had learned from the CDs, came to me and really helped! I was pleasantly surprised
