I just got over the WORST stomach virus I can remember since, like, 7th grade!
I mean- I was already having morning sickness, so the nausea wasn't new- just intensified, but the HIP and LEG CRAMPS!!! Not to mention
... and this is the FIRST pregnancy during which I have ever puked!! The suckiest thing about being sick while pregnant is that you can't really TAKE anything. I would have LOVED an alka-seltzer PM so I could have slept through a good portion of it, but no such luck. I didn't even take a Tylenol. I was in so much discomfort that I couldn't even sleep, and NO position was any relief. My hips and legs hurt so much that it worried me there was something wrong. But 24 hours later, I got a good 3 hours sleep uninterrupted, and the next day I felt decent enough to get dressed. I would still worry, but I still have the nausea (just back to regular speed). I was actually going to go to work the day after, but my coworker called to say that TWO of the nurses in my office have come down with H1N1, so I decided to sit out one more day (since I had already canceled the seminar I was going to attend and didn't have any patients anyway) so I could rest, EAT, and get some of my immune system back.
Now poor DH has it. We're just praying my DS doesn't come down with anything.
Hope nobody else gets sick any time soon. It's a cruddy time to get ill.
