Of course when I told my sister about it, these were her words: "That'd be awesome! Friday the 13th is such a good day!" and she's serious. When she had lasik eye surgery done a few years ago she scheduled it for Friday the 13th on purpose!

ah well. what to do 40 weeks + 4 days and no sign of baby.

I'm right there with you. I was hoping to avoid the 13th and 14th (the latter is my birthday). A friend posted on my FB, though, that she was born on Friday the 13th, and I have to say she turned out pretty cool and not at all jinxed. My mom, on the other hand, had a scheduled C with me, and purposefully avoided the 13th! Guess all that planning came back to her anyway, 30-some years later!

Where I live they do not even have a 13th avenue it is East ave instead because they thought the number 13 is jinxed

My mom thinks this one will come tomorrow on the 13th. My little sister was born on Friday the 13th and my DD was born on her birthday (although not a Friday that year). I was actually trying to avoid today and tomorrow. Today is my anniversary, but I am so done that I really don't care anymore, just please come out baby!

DH wants the 13th to be "the day" since 11/13 is when his father passed away. He thought it would be a nice tribute. (No signs of labor, though, so I doubt it!)

My DD has a book called "Oh, Yikes!" which has creepy aspects of history. I read about Friday the 13th and found out it was just Christians trying to attract people away from paganism. So, now it doesn't bother me at all!

Crashing your DDC. My DD was born on a friday tha 13th and she has turned out to be a serious good luck charm! Also the Doc. who attended her birth was also born on a friday the 13th and I loved him!

Well, I think that would be our luck to have the baby on fri 13th , but honestly I wouldnt care... anytime now would be wonderful.... hint hint baby

Well, I haven't had any babies on the 13th, but DH and I had our first date on Friday the 13th and we've been happy together for 6½ years now.

an hour and a half ago I started getting contractions, and they are getting more intense. So assuming baby doesn't come in just 3 hours (ha!) it's starting to look like baby may really have a 13th birthday! That's all right, I'm ready! (then again, I could be laughing about this 24 hours from now, still pregnant!) anytime now, baby. is the food really that good in there that you don't want to come out?
