favorite one sized pockets

Thread Starter
so who has got some recs? I am ready to invest in some diapers that my LO will hopefully have for a while now. We have a strong stash of prefolds and covers, some craigslist fitted that look like they won't fit him for awille, and some sized pockets and aios. In my trials and errors I have deicded that pockets are great for us for lazy days, nighttime, and travelling long distances.

If you have a one sized pocket you love, pass it on!
Thanks Mommas!

I like my Happy Heinys.

I LOVE my AMP Duo OS. They are my fave diaper in my stash! (but I'm not super crazy about the hemp inserts)

My second choice are our OS blueberries/econappies/swaddlebees outlet OS. They are all made by the same people, and basically the same thing.

I love my blueberrys and swaddlebees as well (not aplix though, her belly rolls over her diaper when she bends over and it is really rough on her skin). I have some BGs that were converted to snaps that I like too.

I like my happy heiny's and my Haute pockets over Bumgenius. The velcro on both of them is way better than on the BG's.

We LOVE our Rumparooz! They are great! Fit baby girl well from early on. And keep all the stuff in.

I've only tried three OS pockets (BumGenius, Fuzzibunz, and Rocky Mountain Diapers).

Of the three I like the Fuzzibunz the best. BumGenius is too bulky and the rise on the RMD is too low so baby leaks up the back.

Generally I like the adjustable-elastic in the legs (FBOS and RMD) better than the snap-down rise of the BGOS. It makes for a much less bulky diaper.
FB also has snaps instead of Aplix if you care (personally I don't mind Aplix). Also the pocket is slightly easier to stuff than the BGOS pocket. Also Fuzzibunz say you can put their diaper in the dryer (though I still prefer to line dry).

i like our bg best right now. our hh os do have higher quality velcro, however the rise seems to be lower than the bg? which is weird because i thought the hh os had a high rise when compared to other os dipes. it may be that my dd has no bum, so they are sort of sagging downwards LOL. i do love the colors they come in, and we have not had a leak. i hand wash our bg os now and it helps to preserve the aplix. i know though that not everyone wants to do that! they used to be bulky on her, but now i find they are one of the trimmest os pockets we have tried. course ive only tried a couple.

I've tried six of the major brands and I like TinyTush the best (I prefer snap, but they come in aplix, too). Very durable and great fit!

Knickernappies OS, FBOS, Rocky Mountain. The Knickernappies OS are great b.c there are very few kids who will outgrow them, they fit very trim, side-snapping prevents wing droop and sagging, and if you choose the 2 Loopy Do inserts, they are crazy absorbent and such a deal.

FuzziBunz OS are great b/c they adjust at the legs, which makes for a more custom fit. Two full inserts, super-soft inside, can actually use on a newborn.

Rocky Mountain Diapers also adjust at the legs, which gets a better fit, plus they are very trim and have cute prints.

The NEW style FBOS are fine, I bought an original and had to have hip snaps added to it due to the horrible wing droop I got. And it still seems wide to me, wider than the other OS pockets I have. But, at least it's usable for DS now, it wasn't before I had the snaps added.

this is a great thread! I love my os fuzzybunz, but only have 2 and i've not tried others. I like the snaps as oppose to aplix covers and that they don't need a cover.

tiny tush! tiny tush! tiny tush! We use them at night for my 15 month old- its the only thing that isnt bulky and keeps her skin dry all night long as well as a sposie does
the liners are much thicker than the bum genius. they are soft. great colors.

I love my happy heineys.

Happy Heineys are good for bigger babies/toddlers, They are a lot bigger than Bumgenius OS.

For skinny kids, BGOS, all the way. Trim, with tighter leg openings.

I have tried Fuzzi Bunz, bumGenius, Nubunz, GroBaby, and Happy Heineys. Overall, my favorite has been FB. The only one I didn't like was BG and that was b/c every time I would use them on my child, he'd break out in a rash. I personally perfer velcro, but my child takes the diaper off too easily, so I use snaps instead. Nubunz are decent for the money, but I've had a few snaps come off and I've only had them since late Aug. I haven't sent them back to be fixed yet.

I've only ever had BG and we like them - when DS1 was born the selection of one-size diapers was MUCH more limited, and they seemd to be the best out there. This time around, I was just overwhelmed with choices so went with the BG 3.0s as a default. Some days I do wish I'd tried some fuzzi bunz or happy heiny's but overall I'm still very happy with bumgenius

knicker nappies

I have been thrilled with my knicker nappies, one size. they didn't fit until little guy was 9 pounds or so, but since then have LOVED them. We will be traveling for the holidays, and they are the only style I plan to bring. (Work great, grandparent-friendly!)
