Inside Vaccines
This is thelist to follow.
I would not start off reading anti vax books if your trying to *decide*. I don't vax my son, but the decision came from researching the diseases and deciding if I was afraid of them. If I came across a disease that scared me, I read all I could on the vaccine. Don't get me wrong, I own every book on vaccination I can find, I love all the books like "how to raise a healthy child in spite of your doctor", "how to raise a vaccine free child" "evidence of harm" etc. etc.
"The Vaccine Book" is a good reference for me when I'm wondering about a pro vax view of a disease. I would NEVER follow his delayed or selective vax schedule though.
I find the most compelling arguments for the non vax side (or selective/delayed) come straight from the CDC, FDA,WHO, and the vaccine inserts, clinical studies etc.
There are some brilliant mamas here on MDC. They are my support system. By constantly staying in contact with eachother in this forum, we pretty much know about every news article, show, opiniated column, new study, new vaccines up for approval, etc. It just helps us build up that strong foundation and confidence in our decisions.
I'm sure previous posters have said this, but remember:
you can always vaccinate. You can't unvaccinate.
Good luck on you research! Whew you have a lot of thinking coming your way!!!!!
ETA: one book that has a tiny bit about immunizations is "Mother daughter wisdom" by Christine Northrup M.D.
She addresses immunization from a once pro vax side (until she had children) to a selective and delayed vax side (after her baby had a reaction)to a no vax side (she decided not to vaccinate her second daughter). I respect her as a woman and dr. so much that it was a huge releif when I accidently stumbled across this chapter in her book.

Good for you momma for researching prior to having your baby. It's less overwhelming that way I think. You start to get your eggs all in a row and be more confident of yourself.
Emmaline has that great list and a great way to start. Do each disease and vaccine one at a time w/ the list. Answer the questions by fact, and not someone's opinion.

I haven't read the Sears book yet. Like another pp, I take out from the library, and if I really like the book, will then purchase it to have for ref or to lend out. I started out reading "what your dr might not tell you about childhood vaccines", which she does do an alternate vax schedule. But went into detail about some other things and started me on my journey.
I love Beyond Conformity-in Emmaline's link, and want to read the two books listed there still.

Its shocking isn't it? My hubby was completely - yeah vax, of course, protect the kid...but when he saw the comparison chart of today's schedule versus the 70s he was like, born again. the whole thing came tumbling down for him.

anyway, most posters have said anything I might have. Welcome and congrats!!
