I'm debating between a pouch and ring sling--I want something for a newborn that's easy to use and nurse in. I'm planning on getting a Moby Wrap, too, for less "immediate" times and longer wearing periods, but want either a pouch or sling, too. What would you suggest?

A ring sling can take a little more getting used to, but once you know how to adjust it, I think it is much more versatile than a pouch. I also found that I only used a pouch until my DS was about 5 months, but then found it uncomfortable since I couldn't adjust it. We still use a ring sling at 19 months.
As far as the moby....wrapping is my favorite way to wear, especially a little babe. It does take a min to wrap, especially at first, but you will get fast with practice. The stretchy is great for learning to wrap and super comfortable without any pressure points. The only downfall, in my opinion is that they are not super supportive, so as your baby get heavier you may feel the need to look for a woven wrap. I think a stretchy moby is a nice inexpensive way to try a wrap and learn some different techniques. Then if you LOVE it, go for a more expensive woven later.

I also think a ring sling would be a better idea than a pouch, just because you can adjust it perfectly to fit.
However, I was never very successful with the ring sling and had to switch to wraps which were easier for me.
I love woven wraps, but I think either a stretchy or a woven would be find with a little baby, and as pp said, the stretchy is a cheaper way to try it out!
