Worried about low supply

DS is 10 1/2 months. He was EBF for 7 months around the clock. At 7 months I introduced brown rice cereal once a day and he started sleeping through the night ( I don't think the cereal and STTN are related). For his 8th month I added 2 oz of a vegetable. For his 9th month I added a little more food, but he started to wake once a night to nurse. Now he eats fruits and veggies and oatmeal and nurses during the day and wakes once a night. I had to get my supply back up because not nursing through the night caused a decrease. Plus around 9 months DS was less interested in nursing because he was just too busy playing I do not get anything when I pump and have no idea how much DS is getting when he nurses...I feel like he probably isn't getting as much as he should, but he seems happy anyway. I am worried that he should be getting more milk to help growth and development. My cousin's baby drinks 6-8 ounces of formula 4 times a day. I really don't think my DS is getting anywhere near that amount. I am so worried he isn't getting enough nutrients. Any thoughts?

BF babies and FF babies are different. I wouldn't compare the two. My BF baby (11 months) gets 2 or 3 bottles at daycare, each of them only 2-3 oz of EBM (of corse, he eats a lot of food). I've seen the FF babies take 8-10 oz of formula in a sitting! Breast milk changes over time - the nutrients change to meet your babies needs - formula doesn't change. The only way to get more nutrients from formula is to give them *more* formula.

I think your LO is doing fine!
