With the circ rates dropping all over the country, it is possible the son or his future partners would prefer the intact look over the circed one. The "it looks better" response coming from a parent always makes me uncomfortable. The parent shouldn't be thinking of their child's genitals in terms of what is attractive or sexually pleasing to them, IMO.

ETA: I forgot to mention, that after my friend asked me to elabourate on why I was so vehemently against circumcision, I took a deep breath and basically said "okay, you asked for it" and gave him my personal feeling on how I KNOW I would not want to be circed, though I warned him that I hoped he wouldn't take offence. He was actually really cool about it and said that he had just never thought about it before and that I made a really compelling case! So I hope I have a convert there...we'll see (or maybe we won't as he could very well have a girl).
