Owen is 6 weeks(OMG!) and we are starting to get all the fun baby noises-no more newborn here. He's flashing smiles to everyone and gooing and cooing galore. I just love seeing these little minds develop and personality come shining through. YAY baby!!!

We have weird noises and sometimes I think she might be smiling, but it's usually followed by gas.

7 weeks tomorrow. It is my fervent hope that the fussiness diminishes soon.

6 weeks here too and it's like the world has finally come into focus for my little guy! I got my first eye contact smile at 3 weeks, but now he's really communicating with new sounds and facial expressions. My DS is kinda high-needs, so his happy moments are rare and therefore super precious! I love it!

I can't wait!

Yay! We've been getting smiles for a while now, but they're getting more and more frequent and sometimes they almost have a laughing sound with them too! And he's starting the cooing! I love it. Every new little thing that he does makes me so happy, because TBH I can't wait until he's older! I'm just not that into the young baby phase.
Some days I think his fussiness is going away, and then we'll have a bad night or two. Hopefully, it'll start going away soon!

Yeah the smiles have been for a few weeks-it's the goos and coos that get me. Now it's smiling at pretty much anyone, and this AM he gave a giggly thing to me, so darn cute. I'm not much into the newborn phase, I like a little interaction.

I guess were pretty lucky, Owen is rarely a fussy guy, but 5am he is the gruntiest, noisiest baby I have been around. I have get up and go lay on the couch with him like clockwork.

I'm with you mamas, as nice as they are, I can't wait for the newborn period to pass! Harper has been smiling at us for a week now - hit or miss, and has started cooing now, too. I can't wait for more interaction! It's so close!

We have been getting smiles for over week now. Ds is 5 weeks old tomorrow. We are starting to get the coos too. I LOVE it. Of course ds is pretty fussy but he seems to improve when I cut out dairy so back to dairy free I go. Hoping that soon the smiles with overcome all that fussing.

We're getting smiles and he laughs in his sleep so the giggles are coming! I can't wait!

... Totally have to videotape him as a newborn. I miss not doing it for the other three!

I got a smile this morning....she likes it when I wave my hair in her face.

DD3 is starting to do all of this, too. When she smiles or laughs, it's like her eyes are smiling and laughing, too. My other girls weren't like this, or maybe it's just because I'm savoring every moment with her since she's my last baby.

DD is giving us smiles already and she's only two weeks old, but she's also fussing a lot as well. I love the little coos though.

millie put on quite the show at dd1's basketball game the other night. it was fun to have the audience watching her instead of the game!!! she's not doing a great deal of the cooing yet, but we've had smiles and a few intermitent giggles since week 4. i am happy because the dr keeps reminding us to adjust for her prematurity. so, at -1 wk, she was smiling and giggling LOL!
