Why do they hate ceiling fans so much? I suppose they are the antithesis of good design, but then again some of the rooms the designers come up with are not so great. Like when Hildy put straw on the walls. Geez Louise, is she bored with her job or what?

I loved the episode when the lady was crying over Doug's design too, because I felt like her neighbors did such a good job in protecting the brick (why in the heck would you want to paint brick white anyway--you pay for design school to learn that?). Doug was such a whiny baby on that show, then the homeowner turned out to be an even bigger one. I actually thought the room looked pretty good all things considered.

why oh why do they let hildi design rooms when there are kids involved???

she is the most UNcaring person about potential child injuries

one of her couches had corners and the neighbor mom said something about it - hildi's reply was "the walls have corners and they arent hurt on those"
