Glass/stoneware cookware for stovetop?

Remember the old Corning Glass Cookware that our moms used to use? The white ones with the blue cornflowers on the side?

I am wishing for something like that, but it looks like they don't make anything like that anymore.

Does anyone know where to find non reactive, stovetop safe stone ware or glass ware? I have just thrown out my old stuff, ordered some stainless, but I want some glass ware if I can get it.

Thank you for this! These are new, right?
I ask only because we have food allergies and thinking about cooking in used cookware, no matter how much I would wash it, scares me a little bit.

I have some Visionware and I love it. I do have a propensity for burning starches though... it is not as responsive as SS, more like CI... slow to heat, slow to cool.

Here's a link for the brick and mortar store locator - Pyrex/corning/revere factory store. They offer them for sale in their stores, too. Maybe there's one near you. You could call ahead to check.

If you're interested in ceramics, try googling or looking for "flameware". It's a type of stoneware pottery that's made to withstand stovetop cooking. Personally I would stick to stainless steel/cast iron because I'm afraid of shattering glass/ceramics. I'd definitely check and research any stovetop glassware you buy (google "pyrex explosions" if you're interested).

I get stoneware from Pampered Chef, they also have glassware.
