Raw Milk while breastfeeding

Hello Ladies,

I am not sure if this is the correct area to post this question but I was wondering if any of you or know of women that drink/drank raw milk while breastfeeding? My son is 15 months old and I am considering drinking raw milk but trying to find out if I can while breastfeeding. My husband grew up drinking raw milk in Ireland thus my interest and of course for nutritional purposes for all.

That is all I drink as far as milk goes- but I also have my own Jerseys. Have you read the book Raw Milk Story? Anyway- if you trust your source of milk there is absolutlely no reason to not drink it (healthy cows and clean milk) while bfing. enjoy!

Thak you iowaorganic! I assumed it would be a very good thing. You are a lucky woman to have your own cows! We have horses and I thought maybe I should get a cow and my husband said it would take forever to hand express a cow (he is a farmer from Ireland). Oh, well I tried. Yes, I do trust my source and I will pick up that book for sure. This is a very interesting topic to say the least.

I drink raw milk almost every day and have for over a year now. And for reference DS1's been drinking it since he was 15 months old when we first started getting it

we drink our goats milk raw. no problems here.
