Duncan's not getting much in the way of new stuff for Xmas, but that's okay, b/c it will all be new to *him*, lol.

Here are some things all my babies enjoyed from 3-12 mos. of age that I'm planning on getting back out for Duncan:
1. Ribbon ring: I made this using satin ribbons in all the colors of the rainbow (including black and white, since that's visually stimulating for young babies) tied to a embroidery hoop or a round purse handle. They like to look at it, bat at it, and feel the soft ribbons and chew on them. It looks a bit like this, only larger:

2. Selecta wooden play gym with dangly toys:

3. A red/black/white patterned soft caterpillar rattle made by Sassy -- can't find a pic, sorry
4. Maple rattle; they loved to chew on this one:

5. Mirror to see themselves -- ours is in the shape of a yellow sun with a safety mirror on one side and a picture of a teddy bear on the other, about 6" across.
6. Wrist rattle in bright colors -- this is a fun one:

7. It's never too early for playsilks!
8. Board books that have different textures are always a hit, too.
9. Stacking wooden rainbow bowls -- these are great b/c they can be used in play kitchen later on, too...

10. ...and they are fun to use with wool felt or fabric balls:

11. Rainbow baby from Kathe Kruse, comes with attached teething ring:

Hope this helps!
