this year this is how it will be for the baby. plus, she won't know the difference. We spend enough on the olders.

I plan to get her an exersaucer at some point and that is going to be her Cmas gift. Otherwise, she will get a 1st Christmas baby ornament for the tree and tons of pictures made of her!

The g'parents will shower her with enough toys and gifts this holiday season to make up for what we won't be doing.

Camry's getting:

Baby Einstein Around The World play gym
Vulli Chan Pie Gnon toys (pink one and green one)
Vulli teether
Haba toy (can't remember the name, one with the bead inside- DS loved his)

And we'll definately be getting an exersaucer! They are a lifesaver.

I know I've seen one before, but I can't find it now... I'm looking for a wooden play gym that's like a tripod... when the babe is older, it can be turned into a teepee.

None of the wooden play gyms I'm finding are collapsible.

I think this might be what you're looking for, but I can't find a US distributor..

The boys are getting a combined gift this year- but I'm not sure what. They're so close in age, I think something they can grow into together would be great. Homemade wooden kitchen? Train Table? Meh- still thinking...

We're aiming for one or two nice presents, instead of a plethora of stuff...

Yes! That's it exactly! Thank you so much!

Baby Earth carries it - they even offer it through Amazon.

Duncan's not getting much in the way of new stuff for Xmas, but that's okay, b/c it will all be new to *him*, lol.

Here are some things all my babies enjoyed from 3-12 mos. of age that I'm planning on getting back out for Duncan:

1. Ribbon ring: I made this using satin ribbons in all the colors of the rainbow (including black and white, since that's visually stimulating for young babies) tied to a embroidery hoop or a round purse handle. They like to look at it, bat at it, and feel the soft ribbons and chew on them. It looks a bit like this, only larger:

2. Selecta wooden play gym with dangly toys:

3. A red/black/white patterned soft caterpillar rattle made by Sassy -- can't find a pic, sorry

4. Maple rattle; they loved to chew on this one:

5. Mirror to see themselves -- ours is in the shape of a yellow sun with a safety mirror on one side and a picture of a teddy bear on the other, about 6" across.

6. Wrist rattle in bright colors -- this is a fun one:

7. It's never too early for playsilks!

8. Board books that have different textures are always a hit, too.

9. Stacking wooden rainbow bowls -- these are great b/c they can be used in play kitchen later on, too...

10. ...and they are fun to use with wool felt or fabric balls:

11. Rainbow baby from Kathe Kruse, comes with attached teething ring:

Hope this helps!

So far I've ordered the natural stacking bowls from Natural Pod: http://www.naturalpod.com/shop/index...roducts_id=274

Her Sophie the Giraffe arrived yesterday along with Kimono onesies from Kate Quinn Organics, I used the discount code "tinyonesies" and got 40% off everything! They have some very cute stuff in their "things we love" section. DS insisted that she have Sophie right away and she LOVES it already.

She might get a few other things by xmas but it looks like DS will still get the bulk of the gifts! (rocking boat from Natural Pod )

it took a load of time on ebay and craigslist and 2 45 minute drives because they don't make it anymore but i got ada this playskool "kick start" gym.

http://www.parents-choice.org/produc...=Hasbro,%20Inc.

it was worth it. i usually hate plastic-y beep-y toys but she spent an hour under it today with this funny look on her face figuring out how these wheels were spinning everytime she kicked something. it's a great cause/effect toy. and i could have watched her all afternoon it was so cute. had to take her out cause she was rubbing her eyes and passing out but she woul've stayed there happy for hours, i'm thinking.
