what else do I need for a tie dye party?

I've never tie-dyed, but I want to have a tie-dye party instead of a baby shower, and I want each guest to tie-dye at least one baby item: shirts, diapers, blankets, sheets, hats, socks, sleep sacks, etc. And I have a bunch of questions

Planning to get the serious tie-dye group kit from dharma:
http://www.dharmatrading.com/html/eng/1968-AA.shtml

This dyes 20 adult t-shirts, so probably a million baby items, right? Would you guess 1 adult t-shirt=4 pieces of baby t-shirts?

I'm not so sure I need to own 80 tie dyed baby items--can I use some of the dyes and materials for this party and save some for other projects, or is it designed to all be used at once?

If I want more colors, do I need to buy them, or is it easy to mix colors?

Will the fuchsia come out red, or pinkish? I don't like pink! I'm thinking if I want any true red or true blue, I need to buy them as separate dyes?

If I have six guests tie-dying at once, I'm guessing I need at least 6 pairs of gloves--can I just get latex gloves from the grocery store?

Should I get extra squeeze bottles from Dharma, or can I find them cheaper locally? I have a Joann Fabrics and a Michaels.

Reduran hand cleaner sounded like a good idea. Is this a waste of money and we should just use soap and water? Is it nasty chemically stuff I don't want, or should I get it?

What else do I need that isn't included in the kit?

Thanks!

I'm not sure whether to ask here or on the diapering forum about whether tie-dying flats or other all-cotton diapers will affect performance. Is this a bad idea?

What about wool?

wool you can just use food coloring. dyed cotton diapers work the same but are so much more fun to use.

I think you need more rubber bands, and plastic bags to put your dyed items in. I usually put mine in a trash bag and let them sit for 24 hours before I wash them. Dunno if that's really necessary, but that's how I was taught.

Also, I don't know if you plan to tell your guests in advance about this, but if you are going to make it a surprise, you should provide some sort of smocks for everyone so they don't ruin their clothing.

IME, if you use gloves you don't really need hand cleaner.

When we had a tie dye party for my daughter's birthday, we gave the children plastic bags to wear to protect their clothing and everyone had plastic gloves to wear to protect their hands.

I can't answer regarding the type of kit you bought, but the type of kit we bought had bottles with dye in them and the dye lasts for quite a while (months? year?) so any left overs can be used for a very long time.
