Waterproof Jacket Fabric?

I was in Joanns and in their red tag fabric section, I found 'waterproof jacket fabric'. It wasn't as nice as the PUL I've made diapes with before, but I wondered if it would be of any use with any CD making.

I don't know if heat would set/seal the seams on it like I think it does with PUL. Anyone heard of it/used it? I just realized at the very least maybe it would make a good wet bag - thoughts?

It's half off through tomorrow so if you can respond... soon!

I wonder how well it would work w/compression leaks but if it was cheap enough Id buy it and try it out couldnt hurt & like ya said you could always try making a wetbag outta it. Whats it made of do ya know? Is there any stretch to it?

I think it's nylon with whatever rubberized backing. No stretch really.

I've made dipes and am a little hesitant at this point to make them again, mainly because it took me a long time to make each one and I'd really hate to invest the time and cotton birdseye in them. It's still only $4/yard, I think I'll try to make a wet bag out of it.
