Buying Supplies for Belly Mask

Thread Starter
I am 33+ weeks right now and since I have a habit of going early I want to go ahead and order my bellymask supplies. I plan on doing the mask at 37 weeks or so.
Anyway, I want to order online and don't mind spending a little extra $$ to get a good kit. Any suggestions?

Bellymasks

Hi, I got mine from Bellymasks.com. I think it was about 65 dollars. It was worth it to have all the instructions and everything you need in one box. OR if you are tight on money, I could mail you instructions and what you need. Make sure you sit comfortably when you do it. Im still not done decorating mine!

This is a good site, and a good kit. The instructions are great, both for doing the kit and for finishing it. There's plenty of plaster, too.

Also, she includes a bottle of gesso and a brush for finishing it off.

I got the plaster strips at a medical supply store. This was the kind of place where you could rent oxygen tanks and wheelchairs. I think it was about $20 for a huge box that we didn't finish.

My dh and I did one of me from tops of shoulders down to the top of my thighs, including my arms and hands. It took a long time and I was standing. I found that I became almost faint toward the end. So I ended up sort of leaning back on a tall stool. I should have done that from the very begining because I was completely drained afterwards (and my ankles were huge).

I have a bunch!

I just bought a lot of supplies wholesale to compile into kits and take to a fair. There were not too many people who were expecting, so I have a LOT left over. The kit includes 3 rolls of 4" plaster gauze and 2 rolls of 2" along with instructions, gloves, and belly cream so the plaster will not stick.

They come in a gift bag for $35.00. I don't include gesso, as some people like to leave them plain, and this would be an extra expense.

Sorry to so flagrantly advertise! I'm just drowning in these things!

Bellymask kit

I have personally worked with Francine Krause who is great! She offers kits on her website at [URL=http://www.bellymask.com] I would highly recommend this kit.
