Just curious! I've missed the second pee of the day almost every day of Hannah's life! Every so often I catch it. When she was tiny, there were days I went to great lengths to catch it! Our 24 hour stretches of no misses were almost always broken by that second pee of the day. We had a recent period of about 6 weeks where misses were rare, and it was awesome to catch that second pee of the day! But for the most part, that one goes in pants or on the floor. In fact, I'd say for the past week and a half or so, she's had one miss a day, and it's been that pee! Anyone else have a specific pee that they usually or often miss?

Do you regularly miss a certain pee?

yup. the 2nd pee of the day for us too. I think it is bcs that pee is so inconsistant. Sometimes she will go within 5-15 min. of her 1st morning pee and sometimes it will be 30 min or 1 hr or 2. So inconcistant that I can't track it. Usually she is playing independantly while I make breakfast and get the kids ready and that is when it happens w/ no warning whatsoever.

when DH is in charge and i'm off teaching or something in the morning, it is almost always the 2nd pee of the day that he misses if they have a miss
we've definitely experienced those, but for us it's been a different one depending on the age/stage of the baby/child. for DS when he was a younger toddler, it was always at 6pm when i was fixing dinner. he was like clockwork, but if i didn't pay attention to the clock i often missed it. with E it has changed over time, but there's always one particular one that we have a harder time catching than others (or that tends to sneaks up on her, since she mostly always tells me these days when she needs to go)

ooooohhh yes! morning's pee #2 is an assured miss! since you asked this question, I've been trying to catch it to no avail! pee #1 (and sometimes p #2) post-bath is not an easy catch either. I think DS feels free to pee whenever he's not wearing dipps or underwear... he's nearing 6 months and used me as a urinal while I was typing! yep! he can stand n pee! if it weren't for EC forums, I wouldn't put up with this!

Doomed pants?
So i have been thinking about this thread, and what i realized is that while we don't have many misses these days, we do seem to have this one pair of pants that is just *doomed* to be peed in! it doesn't matter what time of day or night, or how miss-free we have been, if i put those pants on her, they always ended up peed in. literally i don't think she's ever worn them and not peed in them
perhaps i should just get rid of them? i was contemplating giving them to SIL, but then stopped myself because she EC's to and i don't want to hand down the doomed pants

Pixie-
! I didn't know there were pee magnet pants, but it makes sense. We have a pair of poop magnet trainers!
Very thoughtful of you not to hand down the doomed pants!
eem- I've been trying (and sometimes not trying) to catch #2 for almost a year and a half.... we'll get there!
Nowadays we don't always miss it, but if we're going to miss one, that's usually it.

So I was thinking about this thread as I missed the 2nd pee THREE DAYS IN A ROW. You'd think I'd have figured it out by day three, at least.
However, we're pretty consistently missing almost everything after 3 PM. Don't know why, but I just can NOT figure out the timing at night. If I take her frequently, she won't go. If I don't, she'll pee every 5 minutes. Bah!

Hey! Caught the second pee today!!!!
She was in the living room acting like she was about to pee. I took off her pants and set her on her potty, with slight resistence on her part but not outright refusal. Once she was sitting on the potty she was fine, and she peed! Then for the next pee she actually told me! This morning has been something resembling hell, no sleep last night, extremely cranky baby and even crankier mama, but somehow that second pee was a catch!!
