vent about DS' teacher--feel free to add yours - Page 2

You are very patient. I do think you should speak up as suggested above, but I admire that you will be able to do so without making things worse, whereas I'd probably end up yelling and cause all sorts of extra problems.

oh my. i need this thread after an incident with the music teacher today. DD and i joined DS for lunch today.

-please don't berate my child in front of me for using the bathroom during lunch. he raised his hand and asked for permission from an aide. if you got a problem with that go talk to the aide.
-also, you didn't have to basically yell at him to eat the last two bites of his sandwich right in front of me. your tone and loudness scared my two year old and nearly gave me an anxiety attack.

Change colors?? Color within the lines?? What a nightmare.

As a teacher, I would love to have the concerns brought to me so I can correct them. I am only human, but I do like to apologize and correct my mistakes.

Choosing certain colors? Wow sorry you have to deal with that. I personally love a little creativity!

Can I just add one thing as the teacher? I am sure many of you are the parents who read everything that comes home, however... Please read the notes I send home and especially permission slips. I have already send 3 notes reagarding xyz and really wanted you to know that well in advance. I also need xyz signed and return so your child may be included.

Thanks, I needed to vent that too. Again, please mention your concerns even if they seem small. I would welcome your concerns.
