I guess Target finally listened.

I've seen seen several posts from people who seen or complained to Target about them labeling their aisle with breastfeeding supplies "Natural feeding", as if they were afraid to use the word "breast". Well, I was at Target the other day and that aisle is now labeled clearly and without shame "Breastfeeding".

I don't remember them doing that (I haven't been inside a Target in months, so what do I know ), but it's good they changed.
"Natural feeding" could just mean organic formula and rubber bagged bottles, for all we know.

No. It was in the aisle where they sold breastpumps, breastmilk storage bags, Lanolin, and nursing pads. They sell formula in a different section of the store, over next to the disposable diapers.

That's awesome! I'm not sure what our Target is labled as... BUT I can tell you this.

Formula is on one side of the aisle and takes up the entire length. On the other side (same aisle) is a very small breastfeeding section, and the rest of it is made up of bottles. All bottles, bottle racks, formula mixers, pacis, nipples, etc. Sippy cups are in a different aisle though.

yup this is exactly how it is for my store, too.

and personally, I like the idea of natural feeding. Maybe it'll give people a moment of pause.

I like the term Natural Feeding. That's what it is. The formula isle could have been labeled Unnatural Feeding.

Forgive me if I sound jaded, but it wouldn't surprise me if the change was intended to avoid insulting formula feeders, not in support of breastfeeders.

I work at Target and ours is labeled both ways! It says "Natural Feeding" on one end of the aisle and "Breastfeeding" on the other. Maybe they didn't order enough of the new signs when they changed it?

I can't really see how breastpumps and other "supplies" are a part of "natural feeding" anyways.

We don't have a target where I live, but we have a Fred Meyers and they have an aisle for the baby stuff... one one side, it's all diapers and pull ips and then a 4 or 5 foot section of light bulbs (How strange...) and then on the otherside, there's a 10 foot area of formulas... Then a hanging area of bottles, pacifiers, nipples, etc. And above that, on a tiny shel is two brands of breastmilk bags, two brands of disposable pads, soothies, and lanolin. And on the very bottom below the bottles, is two brands of breast pumps... neither one is very good either.

I was just in a nearby target and noticed the "natural feeding" aisle. I wasn't offended, though.
