So, we have been TFing since the beginning of the summer and love it. But, I now the doc suspects I have an ulcer. Not really sure how I developed it and I am actually just trying OTC meds for 2 weeks to see if there is a difference, before they go on ot look to see if it is really an ulcer. But, anyway, the doc said I need to lay off rich foods and spicy foods. Apparently it doesnt cause ulcers but can make them worse. So, I amd not sure what to eat actually. Nuts, and veggies, but what about protein? As I looked around google for foods to avoid it just mentioned rich foods (I assume things like alfredo sauce - which is butter and cream - stuff I eat regularly, and maybe dressing made from the drippings of meat? I sound so cluless but I really am. Many sites suggested milk as a protein food also helps to soothe the stomach, but we use whole, unhomogonized milk. Do I need to cut out things like animal fat and butter? Does anyone have any suggestions or experience with this? I'd like to really do my best these 2 weeks to avoid problematic foods and see if this is the real cause of my discomfort. TIA!
