Paint colors for open living space

I need spammed with photos and ideas for a neutral paint color (nothing too bright!) for our living area. Right now our walls are white (flat paint), which does not go well with little children!

The living room and kitchen is one large open space, and I will be painting the hallway also.

If you have a paint color that you love, please tell me about it!

jungle chameleon, i think its a baer paint color but i dont remember, if you go to lowes or home depot they will tell you.
its a beautiful earthy medium green, nice and muted and very relaxing. goes beautifully with any stain wood and is very neutral.

we paint every house we live in that color.

I think I once saw on a decorating show that the most pleasing colors for your home are those largely found in nature because that's what our eye is used to seeing. So for walls use browns, sandy colors, greens or blue (like the sky and ocean). My dinning/living room is blue. Similar to this but lighter and a touch greyer. I have both black and natural oak furniture and hardwood floors with white trim around windows, doors and floorboard and I think it looks nice and modern. I used semi-gloss and it's pretty shiny at first, but not as bad as gloss, but as the paint cures over time some of the sheen wears off and it's super easy to wipe down when the kids leave prints and smudges all over it.

For me, it'd be a sagey green eggshell type finish probably.
