master tonic~ i tried it and it felt like I had taken a shot of whiskey!

I loved the taste and immediately wanted to take more but I didn't and thought about it for a second and realized that it made me feel like I had taken a shot of whiskey! Could it be alcoholic? Should it be alcoholic?

Also, it's kind of milky and amber green in color. I added springs of rosemary to mine.

Also when I was making it I really filled the jars with vegetable ingredients(horseradish, onion, garlic, ginger, peppers) all the way to the top and when I would shake it some of the veg. ended up poking out from the liquid. Could this be bad?

Thanks!

I followed the recipe exactly (DH did, anyway), and mine was not alcoholic at all. It was very powerfully hot from the peppers, but no alcohol. Others will likely know more than I do...

Mine also was not alcoholic.

could perhaps be because chili peppers cause your body to release endorphins...

My hubby gets super hot and dizzy and a bit nauseous from it. My kids and I all love it and are fine with it... my hubby has a pretty hot constitution and fast metabolism though. I wonder if certain body types are just not a great match. It makes sense to me anyhow.

how long was it sitting for? because it could absolutely turn alcoholic if there was any wild yeast on the veggies you added.
