I think i've seen this before, but I can't find it, so let's start over How long before labor began did u lose your mucus plug?

With dd and ds, I lost it all in one piece each time a few hours before labor started. This time, I'm 35+4 and have been losing pieces for the last few days. Looks like my body is gearing up, so I'm exciting to see any changes, but it could be a long time still How long was it for u guys?

Mucus plug? A couple weeks of randomness with both. Bloody show? Only had it with DD2. I had it on the 21st and she was born on the 23rd. I even came on here on the 22nd to complain about the lack of baby.

With DD, I noticed bloody show on Monday morning. DH was all ready to stay home from work but I sent him anyway. Good thing, too. DD was born Wednesday night.

With my two previous labor and deliveries, no heads up in advance really. No bloody show or obvious loss of mucous plug until I was in full blown active labor. No diarrhea in advance either. The night I went into labor w/ DD I was actually super (TMI) constipated in fact (uncharacteristically).

Sometimes it would be nice to get a little advanced warning LOL.

Never did.

I had nothing with my first because of a hospital induction at 38 weeks but I had bloody show with my second daughter, went into hard labor within an hour or two and she was born a few hours after that. About five to six hours from bloody show to delivery. No mucus plug at all though.

My first two I never noticed. My last two was about 2 weeks before birth. My third was alot-very noticable and my fourth was a little-one wipe and that was all.

With my first, I lost my plug when I went into labor, with DD I had a bloody show at 32 weeks, and had a scheduled section at 39wks.

I lost bits of it over the 5 days leading up to labor. Though I had none on the day of labor. Weird.

I was in early labor when I had a bloody show.

I lost my plug exactly one week before she was born...no bloody show until labor, when my water broke.

I started seeing pieces of my plug 4 weeks before I went into active labor...and had prodromal labor for 3 weeks prior. /:
I only had bloody show during membrane sweeps (1 week before and 3 hours before active labor).

Labor is a crazy unpredictable thing!

Lost plug minutes before labor started

With my first I'd been having prodromal labor for 2 days. I lost my mucous plug all at once on the morning of the 3rd day (10am-ish?) and I was in active labor by that night (10pm-ish). DS was born the next night at 9:23. So, approx. 36 hours from loss of plug to baby.

With DD I never lost my plug or had any bloody show at all.

I lost pieces and chunks in the months before birth. It just regenerated. I'd usually lose some mass in the days before birth, too.

Not until active labor all 4 times.

#1, lost plug, was in labour an hour later and baby arrived in 8 hours from loss of plug. Don't know with the other 3. Never saw the plug!
