10 month old and food

I planned on doing child led weaning with my son and not doing much baby food. He became interested in my food much earlier than what I thought he would. So I caved and gave him baby food veggies first, because I didn't think that he was old enough for big people food. I did end up giving him more big people food though. For awhile now, he has refused all baby food. Well, except for grandma. She can get him to eat it. However when I give him big people food, he mostly plays with it and then feeds it to the dog. He does it some, but he mostly nurses. I don't mind this, but I think maybe he needs more food. He still gets up 2-5 times at night to nurse. Or at least I think that it is to nurse. Any ideas? Should I try feeding him another dinner closer to bed? He starts out in his crib, but then sleeps with me after the first feeding. Should I wait a little to see if he goes back to sleep instead of just sticking my boob in his mouth? Or should I just not worry about him wanting to nurse so much and his little interest in food.
