Washing CDs in hard water w/ He washer??

We've moved and gotten a new washer since my daughter potty trained, so my diaper washing routine has had to go out the window. We have hard water, but a water softener. We also now have a front-loading HE washer, whereas before I was using a cheapo top-loader. I've noticed our regular clothes look dingy since we moved here, and I had to start using a "stronger" detergent and Clorox2 on all our clothes. The diapers stunk when I unpacked them, so I've tried stripping them a few times, and even resorted to bleaching the PFs and BG and home-made inserts. They still don't smell great. Baby won't be here until February, but I was wondering what routine other people w/ HE washers use, especially anyone with weird water!

We have a GE front-loader and I suspect we have hard water, too. DD's dipes don't seem as soft as they should be, but they're not too bad. Basically, I use 1/4 of the recommended amount of All F&C He detergent. So it's about 1/8 of the cap. I think I was using too little detergent b/c DD was getting ammonia burn. I do a speed wash on cold. Then a longer wash on hot with 2 rinsees.

I also use RLR once a month. And I use the sanitize option as a temperature selection every couple weeks and rinse, rinse, rinse. This seems to keep the dipes smelling clean.

We have an HE washer with hard water, but no softener. I use Nelly's Laundry Soda to wash dipes. I do a soak in cold to get the poo off, then a cold wash with a hair of soda, pull out the cover, then a wash in hot with a bit more of soda, then an extra rinse. I then dry the dipes in the dryer on hot for 1.25 hours. No smells here.
