DD is 14 months old. We started some part time EC about a month ago. We had great success right at the start, and she was very excited about it all, then we had kind of mixed success. (I read the Later Starters thread and it seems that this is pretty common) But now the problem is she seems to be holding it all in and saving it for her diapers! She doesn't seem to want to go on the potty (in the mornings she is fine with sitting on the potty, but nothing has come out for the last few days, and the rest of the day she pretty much refuses to sit on the potty at all) and when she is diaper free she rarely goes on the floor anymore either (maybe a sprinkle now and then). BUT, her diapers are sopping wet in just an hour or so. I think she has become afraid to go anywhere except her diapers!?! I've tried to be nothing but gentle, patient, etc, but there have been quite a lot of times she has gotten very upset when I suggest she sit on the potty to go. And if she starts to go while diaper-free, and I try to take her to the potty, she gets very upset (of course I never force her).
Is this just a normal step, or are we in trouble? I figure if there is one positive, it is that she is demonstrating that she has a lot of bladder control when she wants to!
