I don't have my copy of Hale's handy right now (I'm stuck under a nap-nursing toddler) but until I got pregnant I was on 1800 mg of Neurontin a day with no problems.

I took 1 Neurontin yesterday and felt like I was hallucinating and then passed out. 24 hrs later i am still loopy! I read that the Neurontin passed upto 6% into the milk! Dr is looking for something else to give me. I thought I read Lyrica was not reccommended so I told them that but now I cannot find that info anywhere?

I just looked it up for you in Hale's guide. Lyrica has a Lactation risk level of 3. He says that "due to the kinetics of the drug, it's passage into the milk compartment is probable and the bioavailability to the infant world be high. Therefore, nursing mothers should use caution taking pregabalin (Lyrica) while nursing."

Hope this helps.
