Flip/Econobum

I'm planning to switch to CD for my 3-week-old DD. I just saw there are two new products from BumGenius: Flip and econobum. http://www.jilliansdrawers.com/products/clothdiapers Just wondering what you seasoned cloth diaperers think of either of these systems. I like the idea of having a wipe-clean cover that you re-use with clean inserts instead of having to stuff an AIO diaper.

i am trying them both on my 5 week old who is about 10lbs and they are still very bulky. they are nice though.

These are very nice products at a good price. The issue with either is that for a newborn, their liquid poop is likely to get on the cover, and then you don't get the just-put-in-a-new-soaker functionality. If you choose the Econobum, you can remedy that with a Snappi. If you get the Flip, you might have to figure on more covers at first, or if you get the organic inserts, again, use a Snappi.

P.S. - AIOs are not stuffed - they are ready to go - it's pockets that you stuff. And really, these products that you are talking about do have to be put together to use. So a true AIO would be simpler to use, and most like a disposable, but more expensive.
