URGENT: HB info for HBACs, Twins and Breech needed ASAP - Page 2

Yeah. Well, sort of! I heard "last on the agenda, might get bumped" and assumed, oh, so getting there late and skipping "boring stuff" would be fine, right? I figured it would be a LONG meeting. Got there, found someone in the hall chasing a toddler, and fiigured I'd found an ally! Started chatting, asking where the room was, if I needed to sign in somewhere. Was about to go in the door she pointed to when.. people started coming out! Just missed it! But at the very least I got to be another person filling that building wearing homemade t-shirts and signing on their list of supporters

So did you hear how it went from someone else coming out?

I didn't make it, but on the facebook group, there are a couple of updates from people on how it went. Short story
There were TONS of HB supporters there so, yey!
The nurses talked about how much they actually support homebirth, but want it to be safe.
The chair of the committee was impressed by all the individual letters people had written and wanted to make it clear that there was no intention of outlawing homebirth.
Two members of the committee made it clear that they think it just needs to be a matter of informed consent.
The chair sounds like he'll go with whatever the nurses want(I emailed him and had a conversation with him directly on the matter and have come to the same conclusion. He thinks he "knows better").
The committee asked for a bit more info from the nurses and it was left at that.

One of the nurses has approached a local home birther and advocate about mediating between the two groups...seeing if we can both get what we want. Thats about all I know for now.
