Moby Wrap?

My baby is almost 5 months. Is it worth it to get a Moby Wrap now? Or is he going to outgrow it too soon?

If I were you and you're concerned about buying something that won't get used, here's a cheaper solution. I would go to a fabric store or a store that carries fabrics, and buy 5 yards of jersey knit fabric. I did this for a friend of mine when she was interested in babywearing but didn't want to shell out. We ended up buying a cheapy kind of jersey knit where she spent (I think if I remember right) like $2 a yard, for a total of $10. It was a good thing because she didn't stick with it. You can hem the edges so they don't fray and try it out that way.

I've used the Moby wrap with my DD since the first week she came home. She's now 4 months and I'm switching over to the Ergo so I can back wear her. I don't feel comfortable back wearing her in the Moby.

Weight-wise, a stretchy wrap probably won't be that comfortable for your LO for much longer.... PP have some good advice about a DIY wrap to try it out. If I were you, I'd either invest in a good quality woven wrap (like a Didymos), or a mei tai (like a Kozy) that will grow with your LO. Thebabywearer.com has a FSOT forum where you can get a used but good quality carrier for cheap....

I agree with pps. Moby might be great for you for months, but a lot of people find it starts to get uncomfortable at this stage and get something else. So you might as well get something else now that will be comfortable and supportive for years!

I recommend a woven wrap!
