tandem co-sleeping?

I wonder if some mamas could give input on how to handle the following: I have two sons, ages 5 years and 18 months, and another baby will be born in May. The 5 year old plans to start sleeping in his own futon in the next couple of weeks, in our room. The 18 month old sleeps with me, nurses a few times during the night. My question is, am I crazy to consider continuing this arrangement when baby #3 arrives? Doing anything else feels un-natural, and I feel instinctively that son#2 is not ready to sleep without his mama nearby. Have others shared sleep with an infant and a two year old (son #2 will be 2 years old when new baby arrives)?

This arrangement sounds like what I would have to do too! I currently do a 3year old & a 9 month old. Works for us but I guess you have to go with what works for you!!

I have a 4.5 month old and a 2.5 year old and we all sleep in the same bed. I had planned to have my 2.5yr old in a bed in our room before the baby was born, but didn't do it in time, and then after the baby was born I didn't want him to feel like he had to sleep somewhere and baby could sleep with us now.
Our bed is not big enough for all 4 of us. If it was, I wouldn't mind this sleeping arrangement at all. The baby and me sleep at the head of the bed and my DH and toddler sleep on the foot of the bed. It works for now, but I'd like to have my toddler in his own bed by the time he is 3.
