37 weeks pregnant, baby not dropping and no change in cervix

I am 37 weeks pregnant and the baby isn't dropping and there has been no change in my cervix. Don't want to end up having to be induced. Any suggestions?

Trust yourself, trust your baby, trust birth. Know that you *can* make sensible decisions about your birth--you won't 'have' to be induced. It is YOUR CHOICE whether or not to be induced.

As a mom of 6 and a mw, what you report is just not significant to my way of thinking--not a problem, I mean. No reason to worry, if you and baby are otherwise doing well! Every reason to take good care of the both of you--partly by making your own choices about when/how to give birth.

37 weeks is still really early, and there's nothing to say that a week from now baby won't drop and you'll start dilating.

You could be pregnant for another 4-5 weeks with no cause for concern. Try and take a deep breath and relax. Trust yourself, your body and your baby.

Neither of mine dropped at all until I was in labor.

William didn't drop till I was pretty far along in labor, and I didn't go into labor until 41 weeks 2 days.

ETA: Just pulled notes - at 41 weeks 1 day it says I was dilated to a 2, 50% effaced, (wonder how they knew as I REFUSED all internals!), and -3 station.
